We're Getting Back To Work! Covid-19 Update May 2020

Throughout the Covid-19 restrictions Errigal Dental continues to provide our patients access to emergency treatment. For details, please see our previous posts here.... We hope to return to a full working week on Tuesday, June 2nd 2020.

As Covid-19 restrictions are still in place, it’s important we maintain a safe environment for our patients and staff. Therefore, we’ll continue to follow Government Advice and Guidelines for a safe and phased return to work.

When you call us to book an appointment Derval & Amanda will ask you a series of questions;

Are you over 70 years old?
Do you have any condition or illness whereby your immunity might be compromised (cancer, diabetes etc)?
Does anyone you live with, or have regular contact with, have an illness whereby their immunity might be compromised (cancer, diabetes etc)?
Have you tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 14 days?

If you answer “Yes” to any of these questions, you may be asked to delay your appointment and come into the practice when the risk of Covid-19 infection to you is less. Virus infection is potentially more severe & dangerous for you; so try to stay at home for now.

You will then be asked:

Have you tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 14 days?
Have you had a fever (>37.3°C), cold, dry cough, shortness of breath, muscle pain or headache in the last 14 days?
Have you been in contact with someone with these symptoms in the last 14 days?
Have you visited a high-risk area or quarantine zones in the last 14 days?
Have you been in contact with anyone with confirmed Covid-19/ Coronavirus?
Have you been in close contact with people with a severe respiratory condition in the last 14 days?

If the answer to any of these is “Yes”, you will be advised to stay away from the practice. You may have the virus and are potentially a risk to staff and other patients in the practice.
When your answer is “No”, you may return in safely for treatment.

When you actually arrive at the practice:

You’ll be asked to maintain social distancing & stay 2 meters from the desk.
Patients are requested to wear a protective face mask into and leaving the practice. It will be removed for treatment.
Having checked in, you’ll be directed to a Waiting Area within the practice, or asked to return to your car and await a call or text to notify your dentist is ready to see you.
You’re required to hand wash before you enter the surgery (After removing your face mask)
You’re advised to hand wash before leaving the practice (After replacing your face mask).
Hand sanitizer is also available throughout the practice.
Take care not to touch surfaces once hand sanitiser has been used.
Only those receiving treatment should enter the practice.
Family/friends should remain outside. Exceptions will only be considered in the case of minors or those in need of assistance.
Cashless Payment for treatment is Requested, Contactless if possible.

When you next meet us
We’ll be wearing additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), in the form of masks, visors, gowns or aprons etc.
We may look a little weird & appear a little intimidating, but don’t worry.....it’s still us under there & it’s just for your and our protection.

The 2019 Irish Dentistry Awards were held in the Mansion House, Dublin on Friday 1 March.

Dr. Dara Reynolds & Dr. Rachel McCafferty were proud to represent Errigal Dental at the glittering event. It was a fantastic evening spent with friends & colleagues. No gongs picked up on the night...but there’s always next year!!

2018 Patient Service Award for great customer service

We’re delighted to announce Errigal Dental has been presented with a Gold Award for Outstanding Customer Service 2018.

This award has been announced by Whatclinic.com. WhatClinic looked at 12 months of data from users of its site in relation to Errigal Dental, including patient review scores, feedback data and clinic contact rates. In 2017 over 15 million people visited the comparison site to find and compare clinics.

Errigal Dental of was only one of a small number of clinics on the site that met the exacting standards needed to qualify for the award. Not only must the clinic have a consistently high ServiceScore™ rating to qualify, the rating measures the clinic’s commitment to customer service over a whole year, and so represents long term commitment dealing with patients. Less than 2% of clinics on the site qualified for the award this year.
